The Parthenon, specifically the Nashville replica, is very dear to me. I grew up taking several field trips to the Nashville Parthenon. As a child, I was so intrigued by this building and learning the history behind it. Post college, after moving back to Nashville, the Parthenon replica and the park around it have become a place to escape the busyness of life. Sometimes I go with others, or alone, and walk around and through this beautiful structure. Then, a couple years ago, I finally got to travel to Athens, with my sister, and walk around the ruins of the real Parthenon. It was curious how, even though I had never been to Athens before, the ancient structure still felt so familiar.
The original piece is a 11 x 14 inch prismacolor pencil drawing of the Nashville Parthenon at night. I created this piece on Rives BFK paper and mounted it on MDF board. There are two pieces of hanging hardware on the back of the MDF board. The piece is signed and dated on the back. Price includes shipping within the U.S. Images 1-3 in gallery.
