This painting is based off of a photo I took in the first house I lived in after college. I had just moved back to Nashville and started my first year of teaching. I would sit for hours on the couch in our living room, grading papers and writing lesson plans. This chair was my roommates and sat directly across from the couch. I looked up one day and saw the light from our large living room window reflected across the chair to create these amazing shadows. I took a picture and then created this painting. It is now a reminder of that first year in Nashville adjusting to starting my first year as a teacher, but also adjusting to living in a new city where I did not know anyone.
The original acrylic painting is a 11 x 14 inches. I created this piece on Rives BFK paper and mounted it on MDF board. There are two pieces of hanging hardware on the back of the MDF board. The piece is signed and dated on the back. Price includes shipping within the U.S. Images 1-3 in gallery.
