This piece shows the Pineapple Fountain in Charleston, SC. Charleston has always been a significant city for me. I first went in college on a Spring break trip and then returned two summers in a row to work there. Each time I was there, I developed strong friendships that had a significant impact on the person I am now. I did a lot of growing and discovering myself in that city. But Charleston is also bittersweet for me because two of the times I was there I developed romantic feelings for someone only to find out later that those feelings were not reciprocated. Which was a really tough thing to work through both times. But I did get through it and learn a lot about myself. So Charleston is one of those cities that I keep going back to over and over for inspiration because it is such a beautiful place, but also because of the memories associated with it.
